Gold Star Communities Grant Fund
The Gold Star Project supports excellence in community linking towards building peace, prosperity and understanding in both and between Wales and sub-Saharan Africa.
The UN-endorsed ‘Gold Star Communities Award' recognises the best linking partnerships who:
- have developed a strong, inclusive, long-term and sustainable community link.
- are demonstrating an impact in the mutual development of each other's communities, in one or more of the five gold star community development areas of health, children, environment, livelihoods or social harmony.
The Gold Star small grants fund is designed to resource community linking groups to complete specific activities and milestones in working towards the gold star communities award - such as establishing a community group, subsidising exchanges, events or publicity, awareness raising initiatives, multiplier fundraising, or setting up partnership projects focused on one or more of the five gold stars on health, children, environment, livelihoods or social harmony.
