Fair Trade Wales, the national organisation for Fair Trade education, policy, procurement, support and campaigning in Wales, the world’s first Fair Trade country, is seeking a new dynamic and creative individual to join our team. It is an exciting time in the world of Fair Trade with sales of Fairtrade goods up by 40% despite a recession, indicating that values and value are vital to the people in the UK. Administration and Campaign Support (Ref FTW A1)

Salary £9 per hour (£16,380 p.a FTE)
Hours: 20 - 30 hours per week – to be agreed (Flexible)
Contract:  Mid January to 31 March 2012 (potential to continue if candidate suitable, subject to funding)
Location: Cardiff.  Some home-working is possible

This post is to provide support to the staff team including the National Co-ordinator, Campaign Manager and Education Manager in the delivery of high quality practical projects which promote and develop Fair Trade support and activities in Wales.

The role would suit someone who would like to be part of an exciting and dedicated team, and helping the people of Wales to make a real difference to the lives of international producer communities, on which we all depend.

Strong administration and secretarial experience is important and knowledge of the voluntary sector will be helpful. You will have experience in processing invoices, data entry, telephone contact, email and website updates (including social media). You will be a good negotiator and able to meet deadlines in a fast paced and exciting environment.

You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, will be IT literate and possess a commitment to the promotion of Fair Trade. The ability to communicate in Welsh would be a strong advantage. Please see the job specification for more information.
